Just for fun thread. Since i'm slacking of completing the conquest guides and editing the other threads i made, why not slack more and make this thread. It can help you understand how you can play GCR better, but it may not. Here is a guide to know which type of player you are in GCR. Understand that these are just generalizations, and you may be a mix of all .
1. Agressive player:
>Dislike campaigns where you have to wait for economy or 20 turns
>Think that Antony and Pompey are a godsend
>Wish that March would give an extra 2 hex movement
>Unironically loves playing Caesar’s time conquests
> Dislike the fact that the scoring system in GCR punishes you for making you use all your generals
>Hate bribing enemies and neutrals
>Always charge into the fog of war despite the fact that your Antony is 1 hit away from dying
>Blitzkrieg=good
>How can i lose, it’s not like i lost all my generals in blindly attacking and am now surrounded by the enemy
2. Defensive player:
>upgrade cities despite the fact that you don’t need them
>You love Vercingetorix
>Shield wall is a godsend
>Defense are=best city construction
> Archers=bad
>Prefer that your allies do most of the work for you
> Only attack when you have a large enough force, even if it’s only 1 city left
>Prefers to have more economy than the enemy
>Population usually reaches 200+
>”How can i lose, i have the perfect defense! It’s not like the enemy has defeated all my allies and i’m the only one left.”
3. “Strategic player”
>Spends more time planning rather than playing the game
>Knows all about Sun tzu
>”Punic wars is not a challenging enough conquest”
>Reads all the guides before playing the game
>Makes an elaborate plan on how to simply take one city
>Complains that x general deals 1 damage less than the other general
>Loses a lot in conquests, blames bugs that doesn't exist
>”How can i lose? I planned everything in the game, even tho my plan fell the second i played the game”
Plans never survive the first contact with the enemy
