I have a infantry commander who is 9 lvl inf 7 lvl navy also a legatus rank. he has level 3 roar , level 2 inf commander also 2 level ambush. Should i give a terrain skill to him or go for siege/intercept/shield wall. for terrain i prefer mountain , i can upgrade instantly level 3 with flag

As for ambush it’s a decent skill. For your forth skill if you find your generals (all of your generals lacks for destroying cities) go to siege if you find yourself very slow at destroying cities, go for shield wall for additional def since most of the time it triggers, for Intercept it is also good to kill annoying archer generals or archers per se. If you go to terrain mountain or forest is good but I’ll suggest to go for plain, since most of the time you don’t find a perfect strategic mountain or forest.

My commander has jf, shield wall, ambush, and inf commander. But since your general has roar, I think jf would be the better choice. All are great choices anyway. I am not really a fan of siege, but some of my bros like Deleted could help you out with choosing. Again, all 3 are great choices.

Siege and March are mostly for the players planning to participate in speedrun competition. March is good even if You don't. But You definetely don't need Siege. Shield wall is probably the best in case Your commander will be tanking mostly.

I'd say siege is great regardless, since you need to deal damage to cities most of the time. I'm going the Archer route, so I just use archery commander, advantage, March and siege. For cavalry and infantry tho, you can definitely forgo siege. It all depends on how you want to use your general . March is the most important utility skill, but since our commander already has +1 movement, you can ignore March for more damage skills. I'm a believer of mobility=best stat tho, so if I can give all my generals a lvl 3 March, I will
