In my opinion, upgrade your commander to Marshal and give the Laurel crown, Antony can make a good job with only a pompeii gladius and without any upgrades.

Which one should i do Give anthony the golden spear and the commander laurel crown. Use the medals to get first anthony tho, because he is so fast he can get from military camp to military camp very quickly

Spear is better for someone with Assault/Roar/Advantage. Antony is not good for Spear - bad synergy. It is great item, but I think we need to add to crit chance with the gen who already has high chance, so we can have significant improvement with the Spear not in attack only but in crit rate as well.

Nah, while Antony isn't consul yet, give him the spear. He needs the damage to actually solo cities. After he reaches consul, give him the scepter so he can buff allies as he moves along.

Does the scepter buff the user's atk BTW? Doesn't state if it does.

I doubt it is good strategy especially for end game content. To solo cities with Antony (as simple units can't chase him most of the time) You need to end turn at the adjacent hex. Very risky. For the conquests like in Punic Wars? Yes, later on? Very doubtful.

andrei, Antony having the scepter means he has the damage. The aura is only a bonus, which can be useful when you're sieging some city with allies . Although I just give him the golden spear for now.

Allies are bad supporters to capture cities. Most difficult nations to defeat are Roman factions. And their turn is earlier. They simply refresh the unit before allies could capture the city You destroyed. It happens most of the time.

Agreed, although what I meant was they can still do some damage, so why not consider them to the strategy no matter how seemingly irrelevant they are. The Gaul of Cesar's time conquest eventually overwhelms Rome, so yeah
