I have been trying to get all achievements in WC4 and one of them is to finish cold war as a 1 star country. Whatever side i play on, i always lose, i thought it was simply a coincidence so i decided to do an experiment. Using the autopilot feature, i played as 1 star countries and found that every time, the enemy team would always win. playing as NATO, the WTO will take europe and japan, along with parts of africa. when playing as WTO, the exact opposite happens. Is this a inplemented feature made to balance enemies so they aren't so easy? Is anyone else finding this issue as well? Thank you
I have very competent generals, Guderian Yamashita Rommel Konev Leeb and nimtz

Well, this is pretty much rng, except that its chances of occuring are extreme. Consider this: if you play as Cuba, 1. the ussr will fail to take any countries and north korea will get pushed back (90% chance) 2. the ussr will advance to belgium and japan will be invaded by PRC (10% chance) Not saying that it is a definite probability, but just estimating and showing the fact that the AI game mechanics is still governed by Random Number Generators as part of the scenario generating software, it is just that the developers pre-programmed the probability of the different scenarios occuring already. Such AI movements have a higher probability like in 1950 where the opposite side seems to win most of the time, but exceptions include 1939 where the balkan front will always fall to the axis powers no matter which side you are playing on, thanks to the generals Messe and Graziani. And, if you are having difficulty try Portugal or North Korea. Both have guides in the wc4 library but just in case you have any questions or need help dont hesitate to ask us. With those generals, it is possible to play as south korea or ROC, the hardest 1 star countries in 1950 (other than cuba, thats insane). I just played as ROC yesterday and only used fully upgraded guderian to spawn from thailand which i captured with my starting general Sun, and defeated China, mongolia and north korea relying on the two tank generals only. Afterwards you dont need generals as its just mopping up siberian cities and missile hopping from the undefended back of the USSR. BTW, happy first post and welcome to the forum! I hope I have been of help!

Pretty sure this is so that there is some element of difficulty in conquests, and so that someone who has no resources like me won't autofarm conquests. Say the AI was equal on each faction. Then you could play something like Cuba in 1943, for example, and just watch the Soviets and British steam Germany and get easy rewards in the process. That's what I think.
