Ok stoic , it's time for new advices ! I cleaned up everything in campaign till chapter IX and I got Pompey . So the team is : Scipio , Mithridathes , Pacorus I , free infantry general and Pompey . Time for another archery or maybe I should switch someone for another one ? Drusus Why not Cleopatra? |

Actually I was gonna say that you can buy her too. Either drusus or cleo would work. I am planning on buying her and agrippa later on anyway |

Definitely having another archer general would benefit you a lot, as you are more often than not given two strong archer units right off the bat in campaign conquest and even expeditions.
Cleo can attack twice. Furthermore you can give her the commander flag which helps both navy and archery units attack twice. She is very good on ships as well and her navy aura will be very helpful when crossing the ocean.
Drusus can’t attack twice, but he will take a lot less damage than cleopatra. He’ll also do more damage than her and crit a lot more often. Since he has hide and rain of arrow, he can grab and hold cities quite decently. Finally, he is a general whereas cleo is a legatus. Either of two are good picks

I believe cavalry is still very powerful and if you can deploy all 3 cavalry generals, then you probably can solve all problems. But as I haven't played new missions yet, - I simply can't say whether it is easy to deploy 3 cavalry generals or not at all. 2. To hire Drusus. I am somewhat disappointed with archers, to be honest. First of all because of their mobility. But we need at least two archer generals anyway. My choice is simple: Mithridates and Drusus. So, I simply can't recommend anyone else. I really believe Mithry and comrade Drusus are an excellent pair of archer generals complementing each other in different circumstances. 3. Last but not least - Crassus. The reason is very simple. You will obtain Infantry aura soon enough (or maybe already did it) and additional 15% can be very helpful indeed for all Infantry generals. So, you are not not only buying another Infantry general - you are buying an Infantry general who has his own attack plus 15%. |

kingbutawl, Crassus is a good hybrid. Train him both infantry (8*) and cavalry (7*) and You can use him not only as infantry but as Cavalry City cracker also.

I wish I could , andrei . However I've just hired Pablo Escobar (My neegah Pompey over here) . Should I take 3 infantry generals ? Should I switch Pompey for Crassus ?
Why everyone is making me hiring archery generals if they suck pretty bad ? My infantry boaih deals more damage than arrows . My commander dude has 210 of damage on swordsman...

The archers gens damage is pretty good, the only bad thing is the speed, but having archer gens will help you in the campaigns and conquest againts hordes of enemys and take down powerful enemys.

kingbutawl, dont change Pompey for Crasus, Pompey have more damage and survivability thanks to crit rate + inf commander + shield wall, plus we dont need to upgrade the skills because they are in high level. Probably for the moment you dont need 3 inf gens for campaigns, i reach the 7 campaign with 3 stars only with 5 gens.

The work of Drusus can be done by a humble Trebobius with laurel crown Maybe anthony to make farming conquest way easier. I mean the guy travels 2.5 x as fast as a normal unit. Also 3 infantry generals is a pretty good idea. 3 cavarly generals is not. Seeing as you have pacorus i and scipio, you are good in that regard. My opinion is still archers, but you can get crassus as well. Give him an hp item and the siege/tunnel flag and just let him lead the way. |

Considering in most missions you run out of money really quick to tier out your units, let alone for another cavarly general, unless you need someone to spawn 5 rounds before the round ends, I would advise against a 3rd cav.

The battering ram is dirt cheap, infantry is dirt cheap, he is fast and has counterattack. |

Yeah archers kind of suck anyway tbh. So 4 infantry generals is not that crazy. However, I wouldn’t sacrifice a slot for a cavarly general or archer general for vercingetorix. Labienus maybe. But not ver. I do think he is still good though.
