I don't like this game. But if you like it and/or have played it then you might be wondering why there are four games with almost no link between them.
A great youtube channel called The Game Theorists has figured out what the entire game is about. I reccomend watching their video about it.

I've never played the game and I probably never will dump the cash on any of the games but I'm intrigued by the lore. I too have been following game theory. They have a definitive theory now on their channel that was promoted by the creator of the game. So if you haven't seen it then you should watch it. |

I watched it from the beginning where they suspected Mike Schmidt to now where they think the kid on FNAF 4 is either golden Freddy or the marionette. |

I feel like he intended for it just to be a 1 game series. But fans became so obsessed with the lore when there really wasn't any that Scott had to make new games. He was just improvising basically. Until he saw that MatPat was on his tail and he decided that he needed to find a way to connect his own stray dots. Which there is only one way to do.
But hey, that's just a theory. A GAME theory. Thanks for listening.

My friend once showed it to me and I was like WTF???
I saw the game in the Appstore but I hate jumpscares more than I hate the enemy building a fort in Siberia while I'm finishing the conquest in Italy.
After the jumpscare I was like "meh" and never touched the game again until I watched MatPat's theories. Then I still ignored the game.
