I have like 550 medals so not so far off everyone being an option for me. I was thinking about buying someone who can reach high levels in all stats and upgrade them easily so I can use them on anything appropriate during missions. One down side to this is that the general's skills will not be as great on certain units. Is this a good idea? Who should I get?

No one has skills which can only be used on a specific unit, for more than 1 type of unit (apart from navy) which is annoying.

You have limit capability points, and every general have limit for each category capability (except our Commander who can reach lvl 9 in every categories, just need to pay 5000 gold to reset). So I think hybrid gen is bad idea for generals except Commander  |

Not really. I would get someone who is better at one unit type specifically. You can definitely afford an elite general who isn’t Surena

Best Hybrid in the game is Crassus , he can be used on cavalry also , you would only lose 10 damage for units in cities.
