Hey guys, can you save the frustration of how to get a 3 star on this mission. I assume it involves something with the ships in the ocean, as otherwise 4000 gold is unreachable. Is there an easy trick I am missing? It looks like this

Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus, consul tactics marathon is really important, and pretty much controlling a lot if not all the cities. Also upgrading markets. Didn't 3 star it, and am lazy to do so, but I was 3700 economy, and only needed a turn to get a 3 star

I’ll wait till I get better generals (cough pompey cough) from farming conquests. I’ll only get 110 medals from the last campaigns I have left anyway.

Take Your units into the very corner, so enemy would spend more time killing them. They will all die anyway. Start researching Governor tech turn 1, to get access to Forced March asap. At turn 3 You will take control over Octavian. You need to take control over both southern cities and to move towards Nicopolis same turn, in order to take it under control next turn. So move Octavian south, use Forced March to bring him into the water. You'll take control over both cities. Then push undo button, to cancel the move and move towards Nicopolis. Cities are already under Your control and You didn't spend a turn to do it. See screenshots. Now, destroy military camp near Athens and build Industrial center, to build quarry next turn. So for Corinth (destroy Defense district). Build at least one quarry next turn, that will solve Your Industrial output problems. Move Octavian towards Nicopolis to take it under control. FIGHT!! Good luck ! PS: You could aalso try to steal or retake the city in Italy after enemies will crush it. Also if You are fighting very good and have enough forces just disband units several turn before end of the mission to have taxation bonus. Otherwise collecting 4000 coins is very difficult.

Jeez, thanks a lot. I did not know moving octavian into the water gives you control of both cities.

Did not get a 3 star but got a 2 star at least! Don't let them land. Block all the possibilities of landing. This way You will not need to build units and consequently will collect 4000 coins.

Please, someone help me with more detailed guides of this mission to get a three starred, I tried so many times but cannot get 4000 coins. I built 2 markets in Athenai and Corinth, and one in Nicopolis, fully upgraded and disband my troops till turn 12th but could not get even 2000 coins, sometimes I finished at turn fifteenth coz destroyed the last enemy, but far away from 4000s. I really need the scrolls of that Campaign so please help, thanks.

With enough tries, you get the hang of it and will win easily. Oh and block the enemy landings as said. I personally put anthony in the heavy cavarly caught at see and he has no issue getting out.

If worse comes to worst, use your elite troops (especially those with gens) to block the enemy from taking key cities.
