This is for you Silvercreek. It took me two attempts for 3 star victory (the first i missed by a hair).
The key is to focus your best generals on the west and rush them to protect the last key point (you can conquer the enemy city after wiping out the french and secure the key point. I also find useful to build a princess that reduces the cost of infantry to spam infantry units and comply with the minimum 12 units requirement.
