Montgomery can be a good choice, but getting maximum output from him is a bit difficult task. And these situational generals like Rommel, Donitz etc are all luxuries to me, because they are only effective in a particular terrain or at particular unit.
It depends on your playing style, if you are all rampant type player that tries to destroy every single unit they see, go for Rommel, but if you are a bit tactical, and also a bit defensive player who strategically plans everything go for Montgomery.

Monty is decent but he is a bit on the weak side in terms of output. But he does heal fast. Iād say rommel is a better choice because 4 stars vs 2 stars in air, not as big of a difference as you would think
