I need help. I’ve been stuck on this campaign mission for over a week. I have tried doing this by land and taking all surrounding cities and also tried doing this by sea and going for the 1 city. I constantly run out of time. (Generals I’m using are vercigitorix, sertorious, my max archery commander and li, and for cav hasarabdul and Crassus)
Someone please help

The enemy cities in the rear should be dealt with by your troops unless there are elite troops waiting to strike (city east of Mutina). The most important cities for conering Lepidus, Anthony and the Roman general are the ones surrounding it. Capture them and spam slingers to finish the job. Don't even bother to try to capture the city. At most, take out 1 facility or 2 to make space for more slingers to surround the enemy gens. When the threat east of Mutina is dealt with, march your troops to corner the enemy in the city west of Mutina.

So if you occupy this square, Anthony's defection cannot happen?

How do I get there before Lepidus defects to Antony? Take your fastest Gen and put him there before Antony comes

malemermaid, well that's not a problem but if I go to south of the city there's a cav ready to stall me. If I go north of the city it was mountainous and Antony was there. If I take the city it would costs a lot of time.

If you have Pompey or an inf Commander, put him on the Legionary, march by sea and go from the south of Lepidus' city.
You'll reach the town just in time.

Would take 2-4 turns to get there, depending on which infantry general you use(if they have March or not) and if they have movement items.
