Wow! I've just found out how great this challenge is to get experience for your infantry generals. You have your general on the infantry and set a line (navy/cav/general/cav/cav on either side and just let it work at automatic. Wave after wave attack your general and if he survives you get loads of experience. You may lose your naval unit but no hassle. Most of the cavalry are hardly touched. Use the Pyramid wonder to keep your fortifications going a but longer. I've just upgraded my generals in super quick time (just running short of coins!).
