This mission has a couple of tricks: 1. you get reinforcements so dont panic 2. when you kill the Rhine general, his troops become neutral and you dont need to conquer the Rhine capital to complete the mission
I normally go down to 7 o' clock, take the Lv 3 and 2 city nearby so i dont get attacked in the back, go for Dresden and Napoleon and leave the rest of Southeast to the allies to mop up (but i help them take down Murat). then it's easy
