How does percentage in Uniforms work? I'm planning to buy Gallicus Uniform for Pompey. How do you calculate the percentage? Is it the percent of General's attack or units? I'm confused, thanks in advance!
Also what would be better, Pompeii Gladius (+15 atk) or Gallicus Uniform (+15% atk for both unit and 2 grids of surrounding units)

Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus, didn't read well your post (I have poor eyesight)... But Gallicus Uniform (for Infantry) would work well for my Archer Commander? Sorry if I find it confusing...

It can be further enhanced with formation (more stacks) and morale, but not other flat damage bonuses like general capability, unit rank, item, or unit upgrades from senate. For example, the attacks (as appear on the info) of my Verci at General rank and 9 point infantry skill on a double stack Legionary are, without aura: 119 - 143 --> avg = 131 with aura: 130 - 158 --> avg = 144 So the additional damage from aura is 13, not that big. This will higher for a bigger and stronger unit but since Legionary is already one of the strongest infantry units so there is probably more of a downside. So, generally, Pompeii Gladius can boost slightly more damage than aura if you only consider the unit that your general is commanding alone. But since aura also boosts all infantries nearby so it is a far better choice unless you already have infantry aura (e.g. from you commander or Spartacus). Keep in mind that aura does not stack so if you already have aura, a combination of 'aura + Pompeii Gladius' is better than 'aura + aura.' |
