In this challenge you need to take 1 key target, ensure Napoleon lives and kill 15 enemies.
So, what on earth are these 3 fortresses circled in green? In my view it's critical to destroy them for two reasons:
1. Ney and his troops along with the city become allies (not neutral) so they will help you defeat the enemies
2. Napoleon gets lured by the fortressed and destroyed
Potentially there is a 3rd factor that I experienced in this mission: enemy additional reinforcements normally come in 2 waves, but if you destroy the fortress, it's only once.
Assign generals to the artillery. You only start with our light cavalry. spare one general to put on a lancer. Send 2 artillery general south to take care of the fortresses before Ney attacks. the rest goes North west to conquer the Lv3 city and the key target. Your artillery fire is good enough to handle the enemy cavalry.
After you kill the enemy general and take the city, the enemy paralizes in confusion and you should inflict them heavy losses. Beware of the reinforcements coming from the north.
