Hello everybody,
how do you succeed the conquest in Augustus Time, for example with Namnetes or Nervii?
Have read some posts and also followed such as the Armenian bribe at the beginning and give Spain Gold,
But somehow I do not get in the way, because the opponent attacks massive or simply I am less with the money to build better units.
I tried to build in parallel, increase units, move up Commercial Center. But after 20 laps at the latest the opponent has more or less taken Gaul.
Armenia is growing strong but always tries to take Arabia down in the corner and does not participate in the Balkans.
At least I try to take and keep the nearby cities. But keeping that costs rounds and money, and the Romans come out of the "dark" with massive units.
I've already considered leaving over Spain to Africa and setting up a base there and trying to strike from there.
As generals I have the Commander as Archer, Hannibal, Pacorus, Mithridates, Pompey, Vercingettorix, Cleo and Antony
If I try with the cheapest units to hold the cities I will not follow up with the rebuild. The enemy take the city over.
So I try to pull up the unit buildings to build better units. Which of course costs a lot of money. Meanwhile, I try to treat the rest.
Can someone give me a hint, how exactly to start and which cities are to take. First of all, how to keep these with what units.
The Romans have strong arguments behind their units

Sorry for the late reply.
I believe declaring war on weaker and cornered enemies early on allows for your allies in the east to swallow them up and become stronger.
Specifically, declare war on Parthia and Noricum on turn 1.
This allows the Chatti and Marcomanni to sweep through Noricum more easily. Meanwhile, Armenia will crush Parthia.
To deal with Octavian's elite troops, spam Axeman and slingers. To confront Javelineers, surround them and destroy them. Preferably, use slingers who can counterattack against Javelineers.
The main goal is to attack with your Nervii allies and march towards Germania to link up with the Germanic tribes.
If you have spare troops after defeating Octavian's legions, try to rescue the Cantabri in Hispania.
Once Anthony and Armenia begins their sail towards the Bosphoran Kingdom, pay the Roxolani to revolt and attack Crimea over the land route.
