Depends. In campaign, Karl. In conquest, Massena. Since I play more conquest than campaign these days I’m gonna go with Massena.
Though I personally prefer Bismarck over Massena in conquest because Bismarck gets rekt in 3 seconds while Massena gets rekt in 2.

I’d recommend Lannes over him for most people, but I need Bismarcks survivability for my aggressive playstyle because I can’t have my infantry hide behind cavalry when infantry is slower. |

I’d probably go washington tho for the extra offensive power. Bismarck and Washington are also pretty good artillery attackers because of Alert. Infantry are pretty good at that job because cavalry can’t oneshot artillery. Washington is probably a little better than Bismarck at that job since he has better offensive stats and Bismarck siege damage is too good to spend his terrible action economy doing that. |
