So guys, I downloaded EW4 again and I completed the first three missions on both campaigns. I am planning to get Sophia from a conquest to help me in the campaigns, and then Golitsyn, like I did last time(over a year ago). I became quite rusty in EW4 after taking a long break, but since most Easytech games involve the same strategies, I can still play well. Which should be my first conquest as which country? Or instead of saving for Golitsyn, should I buy Dumoriez now? I have about 650 medals, I think dumoriez was like 550 medals or something,so I should have enough and more. Personally from experience, I prefer going straight for Golitsyn.

Since you just started,I recommend france 98.Why?You got pre-deployed gens which is pretty good for your condition. No worries behind your back if you're aggresive enough. For generals, golistyn is good for a longer run but dumo is pretty good and can serve you until he needs to be regrouped

France 1798 is a solid run with good starting gens. If you want to buy an end-game cav gen immediately, Golitsyn is your guy. Otherwise, getting Dumouriez is a good choice.

I think Dumoriez is a waste of medals because he will become insufficient pretty soon. And by the way,do you know why Netherfreek is inactive for so long?

Should I buy Grouchy instead of Golitsyn?

The first time I played EW4 (without knowing what I was doing). I used Johann I. And Johann I worked pretty well all the way through up to a little beyond the HRE campaign. Dumoriez is Johann I but better, cheaper, and most importantly being able to train Lan in the endgame (who is a goddess).

Should I buy Grouchy instead of Golitsyn? Do take account that Dumo is a trainer which can be regrouped into epic LAN.Take him to the battlefield pretty much is training earlier for your better generals.Do not be fooled by Grouchy's stars,it won't save him after he is fatally wounded while golitsyn is a calvary general, able to attack continuously and retreat if needed. You'd better get schranhorst(Try him in conquest of prussia)

I won in 59 turns. I beleive I didnt have enough resources in the end(9999 gold and 3000tech, 9999 food). I could have completed it in 55 turns, but Beresford was still in full health(the spanish were pretty useless), and I had to spawn machine guns from Lisbon to kill him.

Should I buy Grouchy instead of Golitsyn? Whatever you do, avoid Grouchy. If you want a mobile artillery, buy Scharnhorst and give him an oakwheel. Theres also some tier 1 artillery gens that are decent enough (Carteaux, Kutaisov)

I bought a cavalry comm to start and then bought an artillery gen and tried the conquest with those (Ney and Scharnhorst respectively) earned Sophia with those

Have you saved around those turns? If so you can correct yourself or try passing a few campaigns and come back again
