Inviting all budding RP players to just feel free to suggest doable changes that can be made in order to revive RPs and ensure that it is engaging enough to play. Here's some existing issues:- RP Players are going offline too often for the game to run smoothly
- Rules are complicated and hard to implement
- Ambiguity and gaps in the rules or game
- Too much creativity, players from previous RPs are ruining the game by being OP (derogatory here)
- Others (do also suggest existing problems if you know of some)
^ In order to address the above situations that hamper RPs, what changes should we bring to the RP scene, no matter how radical or minute? Do post your ideas here.

I suggest having RPs that actually have a prominent map display, like maybe an excel sheet map or a google maps one, the respective cells/provinces can be colored by the Game Mod. This clears things up by a lot. And the dice system has to change, its too complicated for anyone to fully understand and agree on the same definition. Maybe for the offline bit online players can take control over the offline player's territories (24 hour buffer, if still after 3 days dude doesnt return he's disqualified or waiting players like substitutes can take over)

How can I join, I mean start playing them? it depends on a collective response, i.e. an individual, making sure that enough people are online and are willing, starts a new game by setting theme, rules etc. and inviting players in a new thread. I personally am keen to start, but im only free for a serious dedication at the end of next year (avalanche of business )

Sorry for the delay, Have exams till 18, so kinda busy. On your suggestions, I can say that the dice is necessary, to ensure some probability exist and there is a slight chance of victory for the weaker side and a measure for the total damage dealt by the loosing side. Any other ideas to replace the dice system are welcomed. As you have said, that a map, a spreadsheet and no use of dice, a diplomacy game can be played. I will add a link to its rules and description of the game later, the only downside is that it requires a dedicated moderator. Speaking of moderator, a moderator is recommended for a RP game. Diplomacy rules are to be established and ensure that every player has understood and agreed the rules. Dead lines are to be set up for each turn and player should inform about his absence for a turn, and a substitute ( preferably moderator or any other player should do the turn on his\her behalf. A time limit for the entire game is to be set and told earlier (like 3 months or so)
