This mission is next to impossible for me, always get stuck on round 14. I take over the cities but can’t make any gold, there’s nothing I can do but sacrifice my generals, is there a better way to do this?

The secret lies in the title and the dialogue. You should pretty much just bolt east while doing some light fighting on the austro-hungarians. You only need to hold 1 city.

Took a bit of luck, but I rushed the German artillery in north and then fled north as the enemy took the first two cities. Then as the enemy rushes the last key point in the east with most of their troops, it left a window of opportunity for the north western city which I swooped in and was able to hold as the enemy scrambled back to attempt to defeat me.  Step 1: destroy green contingent before fleeing north. Step 2: yellow contingent should rush yellow city and as long as your troops are tucked away, they should be generally ignored by the enemy. Feel free to do light skirmishing as long as you don’t trap your troops. Step 3: Once the western cities are taken, both AI rush the last city which should allow you to sweep the north western city and hold it before the enemies retaliate. |
