I don't know another ET game where we can use almost fully upgraded top class general only after a week of playing. Jackson is really a gift Beautiful. Only thing is, all of the other generals are crying in a corner because you spent all of your resources on Jackson. In EW series fully upgraded generals are usually a decisive factor on the battlefield. Especially in first campaigns. I think it is true for EW 1914 as well.

I haven't upgraded my generals to max and I am doing very well in campaigns and conquests. All you really need early on is some level 2/3 skills, Marquess or Duke rank, M General, Healing Items, and the respective item for their type.

Truth be told it is possible to advance through campaigns and challenges either way. All in all EW 1914 is a relatively easy game and all difficulties are somewhat artificial, for example challenges with requirements not to use our generals to get 3 stars. Or History mode battles when we can use only specific generals. Nonetheless it is an interesting game.
