what about for staraubenburg. He has jungle, mountain, ambush, assault and infatry commander. I found out that ambush never trigers at all. Athey are all at lvl5. Should I change ambush? For macmahon he has 3 bad skills( ambush,cover,counterattack.) Will need a lot of textbook farming:) I think ambush is a good skill (10% to not take damage when attacking or defending, so it triggers during the ai turn as well). Especially when paired with tactics master. And no, 3 skill changes is far too much for any general. Plus you need to make sure you take less damage than you heal each round, and as infantry is very weak and has bad defense, ambush is much more handy than you would think. Logical answer:) I wont change ambush then.Textbooks are so god damn limited. I have only 4:( Cant change hindenburgs alert. |

Should I reset formation master as well. Can you tell the ideal skill set for boroevic? Btw do you think I need more generals. Here is my list: Arty:Ivanov, Beseler, Hindenburg Cav:Plummer, “Stonewall” Jackson, Sidney Johnston( Rarely use moltke) Nav:Hipper, Beaty( Rarely use cobanli, max loof and de robeck) Inf:Boroevic, Macmahon, Straubenburg. I think I just bought the best generals. Do you think I should add any? Maybe aosta but dont know if I have any use of it or just focus on history mode generals. |

Ideal infantry general: Assualt + Jungle (Mandatory) Suggested skills: Mountain Fighting, Ambush, Tactics Master, Pierce, Infantry Master, Infantry Commander (on only one infantry general) |

I have johnston and have him at prince and he is great. Once you replace riding master with a terrain bonus(I did plain cuz I maxed out cav mobility and can move through jungles so i saw no need for jungle fighting) his defense is awesome on plains. I kept counterattack just because it's good to have one defensive skill. You dont need johnston early games cuz you get jackson for free but for late game 2-3 good cavalry are needed so get him then. Solid general to have and is worth to keep on the team.
