In 1914 conquest I often face the problem of not having enough population to have taxes. Either I'm doing something wrong or the population cap is just not enough in that scenario.

isnt population determined by dismissed troops? Im not sure as I havent even gotten past the third mission yet 15 turns seems hard with so much terrain to cover

I really like this feature. It makes conquests more interesting because it requires some micromanagement actions on players' part. Unfortunately, the same rules are not applied for AI Just recall France in 1815. It was probably one of my all time favourite conquests, because it was really challenging. France just was spamming Old guard grenadiers, Horse grenadiers and Heavy Artillery in every city facility during first 25 turns. It was extremely exiting to beat this endless spamming.

After a few conquests in 1861, I found out that the same "glitch" has reappeared. Capture enemy capitals with the Farm facility to slightly increase maximum population cap.

Add those eli spam and grenadier spam, it’s a headache, but it has a weakness.

Oh, I remember my excitement when my allies formed an unbeatable army that steamrolled through the French.

Though playing as Brazil and watching France steamroll Europe while I conquered the Americas was also exciting.
