So I have just got the game and currently only progressing in campaigns.What should I focus on?Should I grind in conquests or mix the both?What should I prioritize in training and what generals are good for now and end game?

Cuba and America is easy for beginners as France will mob up everyone in South America. Mexico is easy for 2 star. Just help America kill their counter part the southern United States and delay Canada and UK from entering the war. As usual France will clean up everyone.
