you mean the campaign against dhong zou?
first: get more archers, you definitely need them, youll see it becomes easier,
second: its probably already what you did.
turn 1: regroup your troops
turn 2: go to the pass, try to get your troops there all togerher, so you can do as much damage as you can before the pass can counterstrike. destroy the fort afterwards.
turn ?: go to the city walls, get one archer to the wall, so it can shoot the enemy general already, so it is easier to kill him when the walls open. also an archer must shoot the other general down, mostly the general just keep standing there. when destroyed the wall, you can enter the city

I just got the game, who should I get first and what should I focus on? I reccomend buying Zhuge Liang first. After that, I bought Cao Cao but I kinda wish that I bought Taishi Chi or another cavalry general first. He is pretty strong though, so I would say he can be a 3rd buy. |

i have only 1 infanterie with cao cao, but he's really usefull for boosting morale. but also i reccomend cavalry over infantery

I agree with u, I just bought zhu ge liang for 985 jade and I have to say that he is a fippling beast on any kind of archer, his high movement also helps him, i could just move him near a city and he will almost kill the general inside the city. |

i would say 1 archer and 1 horse I'll get 1 horse later, which kind is the best? Guards cavalry is good at destrying towers and walls while the charoit is better at killing infantry, I suggest u get guards cavalry since towers are more annoying than infantry |
