The order doesn't matter right? Not a lot, but McClellan requires less textbook investment and is easier to get. |

I'd recommend McClennan as all his skills are good from the start and he has Cavalry Commander. He's also pretty helpful in the history mode as the rest of the good cavalry generals are all confederates. Sherman is also pretty good but there are better alternatives if you're aiming for campaigns/conquests instead of history.

I recommend you to hire McClellan, Johnston in case that you not have much resources to invest them. If you have a a lot resource I recommend Modified Stonewall. he is great but some skills have to be changed.

Johnston is a confederate and thus he cannot he used in that mode. McClellan can both help through the campaign and in History Mode. |
