The Eighth Battle of the Isonzo

There are a few ways of doing this mission. You can either secure your flanks and capture the cities to bolster your army then rush towards the middle one and retake it however this one will require the bottom left city to hold. Or you can rush towards the middle city with your strongest units and leave the damaged ones behind to hold the line until you can secure the middle. A few artillery generals will be highly recommended for this campaign as there are quite a few heavy armored units scattered across the field. I'll make a more detailed guide when my phone isn't charging

The NE forces will retreat towards the centre. I deployed McClellan on the armoured car.

The SE forces will push on and take the enemy city ahead. I deployed Hindenburg on the FA, Ivanov on the howitzer, Jackson on the armoured car, Bodyazhiev and Grant on the 2 heavy machine gunners.

In the centre, build a Palace and deploy Nikolayevna.



When the SE city fell, I sent my best (Hindenburg and Jackson) to go around the enemy and hit the NE city.
The rest will move to support the centre.

When the enemy attack on the centre falters, break through and recapture the SW city.

Hold out and use defeat in detail to weaken the enemy.

I finally beat it by playing the mission until I got lucky. One thing I stopped doing was sending Stonewall to the northeast. I sent my infantry general instead. The field artillery will take out that city defenses quickly, and you only need someone strong to protect the artillery. Stonewall was much better at protecting the center city with his multiple attacks. I ended up losing the southeast city, but as I got lucky with the ally general taking the center city for one turn when I needed him to, it did not matter.
