Given all the stuff happening in the world right now, might there be a conquest 2020 (or some other year) in wc's future? With today's units and technology of course 😁

With today's units and technology of course 😁 probably not. 1) ET cannot depict modern china due to political reasons 2) WW3? It was likely in Jan but now many disagree 3) If you are really hungry for a modern war conquest, most wc mods have modern day conquests with unique units and added countries |

It was likely in Jan but now many disagree 3) If you are really hungry for a modern war conquest, most wc mods have modern day conquests with unique units and added countries Where do I view/get mods? Also that's understandable, but there can be ways around that. An idea off the top of my head can be to add climate change into the mix thus rendering china uninhabitable (meaning not conquerable through declaration of war and no names anywhere in china). ET could even throw in the element of units losing hp if they cross into the country. Well as I said, it doesn't have to be 2020, it could be 2025. Who really knows where we'll be in five years, especially with democracies on the decline worldwide. |

There is a mod named Ages of War that is based on Hearts of Iron 4 (At least I think so, because the map seems to be based on HOI4's and the mod has that game's soundtrack) and that whose terrorist conquest features much more futuristic units. The only downside of this mod is that there don't seem to be unlimited medals, although you do get considerably more medals than in the base game and there are various generals that you can make perfect. However, they all start with 0-1 star in all categories. Still, I believe it's a great mod. If you don't mind the lack of unlimited currency, it's a perfect mod. There is another mod made using stolen assets named World War. It has like 10 conquests, all of which have futuristic units and there are actual alien units. However,Germany is even more biased than South Korea in Erebus's mods, to the point where if you aren't on their side in the first conquest, it's pretty much impossible to win. The fact that the assets are stolen means that the mod isn't original. |

Most of the units are based off the current militaries, the world leaders are generals, there are two new conquests (With more to come) that feature pretty much every single country in the world, and the first 4 missions of the Axis campaign are new, original missions.

It has recently gotten a new update that adds the Russian Revolution as a conquest, featuring a lot of unique new generals including Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin (In his youth), Kolchak, etc. |
