Hmm might be due to demography, considering that this is a history interest forum > history forum I would probably call Officers' Lounge a historical area, but the rest of the forum I'd rather think it's dedicated to gaming. Plus, I don't see any problem about demography, but more about the general activity in the Lounge. Since I don't think this thread could for in the RP or Other Games areas (or does it?), I placed it here. Plus, why not bring a bit of color with a unique subject?

I would have been keen if I had some experience... sadly even though this warhammer enthusiasm exists in my country, my generation did not really put much focus on it back in the days... and now I guess im trying to go for other things now haha

I didn't know you were a big fan Seems like this is popular in Romania too Sadly, it is not too popular here either. It's still seen as something nerdy, belonging to a special niche. As for myself, I've been a fan for only a few months now (since I discovered TTS in November), and I still have a lot to learn. I can't really afford any of the famous WH40K Video games like Dawn of War or Battlefleet Gothic, let alone the miniatures that tend to be really expensive.

That's actually how I got introduced to Warhammer 40k. I've seen numerous videos on Men of War mods with Warhammer 40k and WoT also had a partnership with them so there's that too.

And speaking of Men of War Assault Squad 2 and the Warhammer mod, here are some screenshots from my custom made scenarios that I find more cinematic
Only 95% casualty rate... A great victory for the Death Korps of Krieg
"Sons of Dorn, too stubborn to die"...
Krieg cavalry charge #1
Not a complete morning without the Basilisk battery bombardment
Krieg cavalry charge #2

Men of War seems to be a great platform for mods, see mods of everything on this particular game, from Star Wars to WW2 reenactments or scaling models

Alright, it looks like the discussion has become more lively about video video games and mods related to Warhammer 40K. Should we keep it like this, and expand with further talk, or add something new to it? (Just to tie in both games and something else) What I was doing last night at 2 am: Playing Men of War Assault Squad 2 with the 40K mod. While on the background I was listening the TTS video "Imperial Fists & Iron Warriors are not friends" . So I decided to recreate the whole scene in Men of War: got an Imperial Fists and Iron Warrior to a beach at sunrise, added a little sandcastle and shovel, then played the video while the scenario was going on. Result? Through some sort of "4th degree warp f**kery" (God-Emperor's words, not mine), the action went identical in both the video and game. The video in question Also, if the Iron Fist wins the 1v1, it fits perfectly with the ending of the video I should have told him we have Basilisks. It's like a wind, it's a big cannon [...]

Is it easy to mod Men of War yourself? Or even add onto an existing one for additional units or maps

As for Warhammer 40K in general, this image explains it perfectly both as a franchise in its whole, and my current situation trying to understand it (not that I'm complaining) (oh shoot, I forgot to crop the ifunny watermark... All I can do now is to present to the nearest Commissar and ask for a quick execution)
