Automatic Farming: A definition
What is there to auto-farm and grind for? How can I auto-farm or grind them?
Most widely used resource. You can use it while buying items from the shop, getting skill, rank and title upgrades, improving your unit technology, or even when purchasing generals
Another valuable resource used to purchase store items, and most significantly buy generals.
Crucial resources that are tough to get, but sorely needed for hard missions, skill resets, title/rank upgrades and general ability boosts.
The use of the auto feature in the game to allow the AI (artificial intelligence, or just a robot) to control your troops and help you play the game for you. This is useful if you do not have the time or patience to manually play the game, or want to earn a lot of resources in the most efficient manner.
Criteria for a successful auto-farm:
1) Sufficient technology or generals on your units before auto farming
- to ensure the best possible chance of winning whatever the AI decides to do with your troops
2) Available apps or software
3) Rewards available for a efficient grind
4) Toughness of challenge, whether the enemy units are weak enough or the terrain / objectives are easy to navigate and occupy

Coins:
Most widely used resource. You can use it while buying items from the shop, getting skill, rank and title upgrades, improving your unit technology, or even when purchasing generals
Coins are also the easiest to grind. Albeit being in small amounts, you can auto-farm them through repeatedly playing conquests or campaign missions. Campaigns are recommended since they do not take so long. One recommended campaign is the 5th mission of campaign chapter VII, it gives 1100 coins each time when all you have to do is to place all 5 generals and click auto. Do tell me in this thread if there are easier campaign autos or ones that offer more rewards!
Coins can be grinded for quickly in fast conquests like Austria-Hungary 1914, Bulgaria 1914, Peru 1861 and Bulgaria 1865. More on the first conquest later.
Another major source is from achievements, including the challenging campaign ones.
It is not advisable to trade medals for coins as the trade-off is not worth it.
Coins can also be earned mainly through video advertisements, daily missions and daily rewards from princesses.

Medals:
Another valuable resource used to purchase store items, and most significantly buy generals.
Medals are not used too much, since technology and skill upgrades, the places where you will be spending resources on the most, are done using coins. They are best earned through completing new campaigns, achievements and finishing a conquest for the first time (replaying the same conquest, like as France 1861, will not give you medals again).
Medals cannot be earned through auto-farming since the game does not give you medals for repeat runs, but this is not an impediment since you will generally have an abundance of medals that can last you at 1000-1500 medals all the way till the endgame.

Items:
Crucial resources that are tough to get, but sorely needed for hard missions, skill resets, title/rank upgrades and general ability boosts.
Items can be readily purchased in the store, but they either come in highly limited quantities or are just too taxing on your medal or coin supply. The store is still the fastest, but not necessary the most effective way of getting items. However, coin bought items like ambulance coaches or artillery quadrants are easily earned through completing achievements, or bought using coins which are easy to farm. When you farm coins, it is easier to buy such items.
Silver & gold medals, textbooks and medical packs are the more sought-after resources. They can be earned through video advertisements, completing new campaigns or through achievements. However when the latter two are done, it is quite challenging to earn such items other than buying them from the store. You can do this occasionally, but try to maintain your total medal count at around 1000-1500 in case you need to buy generals. (i.e. buy with caution)
Alternatively, history mode is the new and ideal way of grinding these five items now. By replaying history mode missions, you will be able to earn coins and one random item. The catch is, the history missions are made to be exceptionally tough so that you are not able to abuse the system and earn the rewards easily. I recommend the Austria-Prussian War history mode mission to reply as it is in my opinion the easiest one of the lot, and the best part is you can do it without having to use any medical packs. You can get many textbooks from this replaying. Refer to this guide for a general strategy to grind the Austria-Prussian mission: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/12301/austro-prussian-1866-rise-moltke

Experience:
Experience can be earned from using your generals in many situations. It is used for upgrading your generals' titles, and concurrently their basic damage and defense.
Experience can be earned through using your generals in any conquest or campaign. However, replaying campaigns earn you less experience, whereas replaying conquests earn you the same 200 experience for all generals every time. You may auto-farm conquests or campaigns for this, but one very useful conquest I grinded for experience is Austria-Hungary 1914, where with enough luck you can finish it in just one turn. Just make sure you place all the generals you want to upgrade before occupying Belgrade. A guide for it can be found here: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/12023/cheese-bulgaria-1914-conquest-star?page=7
And finally before we end, just a quick guide to auto-farming. You may just be fine with manually clicking skip turn and confirming the turns' starts, but for a more efficient and completely hands-free auto-run, try using an auto-clicker app like this one:
It basically helps you to click certain spots of your screen repeatedly.
With that, I hope you have learnt a thing or two about farming in ew6:1914, just follow this guide and have some patience, in no time you will have reached the end of the game Happy grinding!
