The morning sun blinds your eyes temporarily as you emerge from the cavalry stable, having just concluded your last preparations for mobilisation. Your minister president, Bismarck, has just visited the frontline, sending you, von Roon and Prince Leopold, who recently defected from the Bavarians (), away onto Hanoverian and Saxon soil. Armed with Dreyse needle guns, the infantry and cavalry divisions under your command start to march, and you, Helmuth von Moltke, look forward to this decisive battle that would put an end to Austrian interference and score a glorious victory for not only Prussia, but for unified Germany to come...
Part I - The Defeat of Saxony
I have sent von Roon to confront the northern austrian city with a few artillery and infantry divisions. Meanwhile, I led Leopold south to meet the Saxons. I built and researched blast in my main city. I have reports that claim the austrians will launch an attack from the north and leave their city unguarded, which is prefect for von Roon to achieve a central breakthrough and capture the city. We shall see how the situation develops.
After fierce fighting, Saxony has been defeated and their city has been captured. My forces suffered substantial damage, but Leopold is quite unscathed and we are fully operational to carry on with the plan. With 4 blasts, von Roon's infantry units have similarly snatched the northern austrian city, thus disrupting the Austrian advance. Upon receiving news of this development, our allies in the East have started their operations as well. Things are going swimmingly and we must adapt to any sudden change with the relevant competence and tact.
Part II - The Battle of Königgrätz
The Saxon and Austrian reinforcements have arrived in full force! Proceed with haste, we must not get held up by this threat to our flank. Hold all captured cities at all costs, especially our main city since its capture would spell our eventual defeat. Hold it with light infantry recruited from the gold we plundered from our victories. Pertaining to Benedek, we must besiege him in an encirclement. Military intelligence revealed that a major infantry charge led by Benedek will loom in the near future, leaving their city foolishly undefended as well. Prepare Leopold's artillery divisions for their salvo west of the city, and while I charge for the eastern regions of the city von Roon will swing South and engage the city too. The austrian artillery is a huge threat to our advance, but it should not be engaged at all costs lest we get held up or fatally bombarded. Let Steinmetz's forces complete the encirclement and wipe the remaining austrian remnants for us. Charge my brave Prussians!
Part III - The Defeat of Austria
The encirclement was a tactical success! I personally entered the city. Our forces seem to have taken major blows, and our troops are rather weary. However, if we do not help our failing allies by securing the left pincer for the last austrian city, we might end up bogged up in the mountains. The rear resistance has been brutal, but we seem to be holding out well with our valiant infantry guarding our captured cities.
Victory has been sealed! The final austrian city has fallen. We may now start to move east to help our tired and torn Italian allies with their Bavarian enemies.
Part IV - The Final Charge
Great news have emerged from the rear; Steinmetz's troops have eliminated major pockets of resistance in our rear. The fresh Saxon and Austrian reinforcements who have just arrived were too late, for we have successfully established steady bulwarks of infantry regiments to halt their counterattacks. With the support from our allies, we formed a huge wave to overwhelm the weakened Bavarians.
Part V - Prussian Victory
With that, our troops have fought for and secured the survival and flourishing of our mighty Prussia. We turn to France next, and soon we shall have world domination...
Sometime in a distant and magical future:
