Recently I went to do final unlock on Nimitz. It's not that I want him, I just wanted the 75 medal reward. A few posts have said you don't need a strong navy. I beg to differ. The only navy man of my crew currently is Halsey. Consequently, I enacted the american midway. I lost 23 ships(12 subs, 8 cruisers, 2 carriers, and a destroyer) Halsey was the last man afloat and the mission was a disaster. I got Yamamoto, Mikawa, and the other superB but had nothing left to take the ports which were surrounded by the still robust Japanese fleet. Nimitz was still alive, but my fleet was swimming with the fishes. Won't try this one again without a couple more admirals. Cut his nuts off (Kuznetzov) and Lucky Jack Fletcher would have been a tide turner.

Make sure to cloud save before each attempt if you haven't already. The Carrier Method should be much less costly and tech upgrades will be extremely helpful

You have enough medals for Kuznetsov? Yes and then some. Just added Rommel and Kuznetsov to my roster. I like that Kuznetsov has rumor and lvl 3 fleet leader and he was cheap.

How far are you in the navy tech, and what generals do you have ? About halfway on tech. Will wait until my torpedo tech is bomb before I try this exercise again. Should be a breeze with three navy (Halsey, Kuznetsov, Rommel) as opposed to one.I couldn't get much navy out of Guderian, Konev, and Vatutin. That was my others although Vatutin is dismissed now that Rommel has arrived.

You have enough medals for Kuznetsov? Yup just bought him. The combo of him and Halsey will take care of anything navy. It's like having Arnold and Yamamoto rolled into one that's two, if that makes any sense. I like that I can throw them both on artillery on land to back up Konev and both augment airstrikes from cities. It's a nice balance I feel. Just have to acclimatize to using everyone most effectively now.

Dive bombed my way to victory with Hammertime taking last port in a 40 knot cruiser. Easy!
