I don't spam these things because there's usually better ways to spend money, but they're still really good combatants, especially in WW1 where they get Rifle. They're just kind of slow.

I just always feel like this: with a general they’re great but without they don’t seem to be worth the gold, it feels like they just lack the damage for a 200 gold unit

If you want to spam cavalry, it’s better to use Hunting Cavalry against most enemies and Light Cavalry to deal with Infantry. When you can afford Armored Cars, you should spawn them instead. |

I normally just use a light/hunting cav unit as support for my militia spam

A good unit overall, but made obsolete in conquests, especially by 1914.
Spamming cavalry? The only one i tried besides light cavalry is armoured car.
