Mine is Connor and Shay.
Connor is during the American Revolution so big brownie points for him already, plus he is the quiet and strong type.
Shay because he is really just a good guy. Yes he betrayed the Assasin's but for the right reason. He just wants to protect innocent people.

Why isn't Evie an option? Also, really surprised by how many people like Connor. He's such a shoot character imo, and so is the whole of AC3.

Arno, for the first I understood why an Assassin did what he was doing. He is very sympathic and I really like his French voice, sometimes I turn off English and just listen to the French because it is so much better.
I only like the Ezio in Revelations. Altaïr is not bad, I like him in his scenes in Revelations. Connor is decent but I just couldn't get too much sympathy with him (not as much as I got with Arno) and Edward was even worse in this regard

Yes you can switch and play as either when free roaming and doing some side missons and both characters have thier own main story missons. I prefer Evie over Jacob so normaly play as her.

And are the Royal Guards (the guys in front of the Buckingham Palace) better than the Janissaries from ACR? The Janissaries are considered to be the hardest enemies to beat in any AC

I'm not sure I havn't played Revelations yet, and I havent played the WWI misson yet. When I do I will tell you, but Syndicate is in my opinon one of the best AC games...maybe I just like the accents and throwing people off trains...
