How about this, for balance. I start with the tech researched, but only a few ships. I therefore spend the first few turns building ships. This allows me to get to Europe while not doing naval invasions turn one.

Some are obvious but here is the full layout:
Light green: Moors Point: Only muslim nation to have a state in Europe
Blue: France Point: Only nation that can get to England in one turn.
Off-White: Livonia
HRE is black
Purple Byzantine
Turks light brown
Russia is dark red
Poland is Pink
