If you're not familiar with warships then maybe you should not continue reading this. So i was browsing on the wiki (as usual), looking up on the Italian battleships, and i found one picture with a description that bothers me a lot. The talk page for that picture redirects you to an italian wiki site so i didn't feel like it. The picture in question is this: with the sources saying that this is Andrea Doria. Now what i've got, to contradict this, is this: My point here is that the first picture clearly ISN'T Andrea Doria, I can't argue about the sources validity because i'm not an expert in that field. For starters, here's the history. Italy built their second class of dreadnought called Conte di Cavour-class, and here's how it looks like. Feeling satisfied, they built two more, called the Caio Duilio-class (by the italians) or Andrea Doria-class, and here's how it looks like. Now you can clearly see, from the side view that the first picture of this post matches that of the third picture but the description for that picture is saying it matches that of the fourth picture. I've tried searching on the net for some sites to comment on this matter but found none so far. Isn't it obvious? Even if the second picture isn't so clear, you can already see that it resembles the fourth picture correctly when the first doesn't. I'd like to leave it to others to figure out which one of the Conte di Cavour-class is the first picture.

would have been great if we had an aerial view... just by the side it is really ambiguous

IMO, it must be forwarded to experts. My common sense says it is different but my brain does not identify what is the correct class ( cuz I am more into Tanks than Navy ).

You are correct. First picture matches the third picture.
