This game has auto save but no save slots . This is not too bad in the campaign but in conquest it's a must

I am willing to bet it's because of what happened in EW4.Being able to save games allowed for infinite free farming of medals and rank and nobility something that made players not need to buy medals with real money.

Nah I think it has to do with the rewards for winning conquest now. You could just save before you win a conquest and keep reloading to get loads of industry,energy , tech

Well saving allowed farming,I and many other players did this and won thousands of free medals.If that option did not exist I (and many others) might have decided to spend more money in the game store instead.
It would be silly for Easytech not to take that kind of factors into consideration.
And besides it is very easy for a game develloper to program a check in a game so that a reward is only awarded once,saving or no saving doesnt matter.Ew4 has several such check already,for example you cannot be awarded the same princess more than once.

That makes more sense now. Well I won't call it free medals as you need to spend much time to get them but that sounds like a good reason for it.
