I like scharnhorst as well, but I need an arty General fast, and I don’t think I can get enough metals for scharnhorst.

Isn’t Sophia better though? You want sophia in the palace for crimean war. Plus scharnhorst is better than her imo (she may have storm but scharnhorst is much easier to use). Plus john has storm and mountain anyway |

Isn’t Sophia better though? I don't recommend using Sophia as a general because it's much easier to find her substitute on the battlefield than in the palace. Scharnhorst is easier to use but John can deal higher damage if you can move him to the right spot. |

But I would buy alexander and mahmud personally. They have aura and will help each other out in terms of output. There terrain bonuses are questionable though sadly. |
