What should I take at the beginning of the game (completed the first American campaign ) ?
Straubenberg (or whatever his name is)
Ivanov/Hindenburg
McCleanAss

Thanks in advance . You will have 2 great cav gens, Moltke and Jackson, for free. Thus focus on artillery first, try getting beseler first, then hindenburg, then ivanov. Strabenberg and Beatty/Hipper can come after that. |

Yeah , the game provides you with a lot of good cavalry generals .
I sense the lack of artillery (I have a non homosexual attraction with Russian artillery generals : especially Ivanov , but I make an exception for HindenBeer) .
Infantry is not as relevant as in the previous game (nor even as in EW1806) .
I sense (not counting focused missions requiring infantry commanders) that you can survive and finish the game , only getting artillery and raising Jackson and Moltke (changing some of their skills) .

Hey Harry . Does it exist a thread on Straubenberg in this section of the forum ?
He seems like an Archduke Carl on steroids . I wish he had inspiration instead of mountain fighting (just to give something of the glorious Massena ) .
