I'm almost finishing the whole game campaigns, but I still can't finish this mission, I run out of rounds every time. Any suggestions?

I'm almost finishing the whole game campaigns, but I still can't finish this mission, I run out of rounds every time. Any suggestions? This is a very unpleasant campaign. 3 points: 1) General upgrades 2) Technology upgrades 3) Move slowly. I know this sounds counter-productive, but you will actually finish faster. Do you find yourself attempting to attack multiple fronts or objectives at once, only to find that doing so does not work and then moving your troops over to concentrate at one objective? I would recommend moving your generals as a group, securing solid bases slowly and surely until your allies arrive and you are able to ride on their shoulders to multitask the remaining objectives. This helps you save up general health for the final scramble too

By the way, capturing either the western city or the NW city triggers the arrival of American troops, IIRC.
So prepare beforehand and position your troops for a quick strike on the remaining cities before America's reinforcements can do too much dmg.

This mission is tearing me a new one. I think I'll have to wait until my tech is better. Are you guys following the northern route, and then swinging south?

Your allies can punch thru theie front with a few turns so coordinate with them to take the last city

If u nearly completed the whole game's campaign, this should be no problem with endgame tech. Its only chapter 2. With better tech, ur guys should be able to 2 shot them, or just let the enemies ram into ur guys and die by themselves.
Moderated by Nobunaga Oda for language. When offering support for a member in need, let's not bring them down.

This mission is tearing me a new one. I think I'll have to wait until my tech is better. Are you guys following the northern route, and then swinging south? I think that's the issue. By the time you have mid game tech, which is about lvl 3-4 for your troops, you should be able to beat this challenge. By that time, you should have more endgame gens and stronger gens which would also help. As for me, I typically attack via the British side. Maybe you can try out ambitiousace's strategy of going via the French territories instead.

Thanks! I just finished it.
I tried a new strategy (combined your strategies). I split my forces in two, one of which helped my allies, the other one took the British cities up north. I used to get bugged down by spam up north (after taking the second British city, just when you turn south), taking several turns to fight through and then not finishing in 18 turns. My allies used to stop near the first French cities, so they were not of much help. However, if you send a detachment (esp art) south with your allies, they manage to break through French lines easily and thus the spam is split between you and your allies. Then it was a walk in the park to move quickly southward and take the remaining cities + destroy fortresses. PS. Remember to always check that you have a unit in your occupied cities if enemies are nearby. I lost my first game because I hadn't noticed a lone French soldier had taken one of my cities, lol.
Shortage of gold is why my tech is so low compared to my progress. I was stupid early game and used all my gold on gen upgrades, generals (that are useless late game) and items. That is why I'm doing challenges now, to get gold and upgrade tech. I'm sure OP might have done the same, lol.
