Ive always wanted to make the terrorists side in 1980 playable, but i have never found a mod for it. Ive recently decided to try modding the game myself, but the threads i found idnt help me much. I wish there was a step by step guide on how to do it. my skills are pretty limited, but i know how to find the conquest files and change the hex codes. If anyone could help i'd greatly appreciate it.

There is mods where you can play as aliens in wc3 and I believe there is some mods that are wc4 that have them. Try the wc4 hearts of iron, I believe you can play as them |

The hearts of iron mod isnt bad, but i was thinking of one more simular to the real game, the hearts of iron one had AT-ATs and robots. seems like every mod that adds 1980 terrorists also adds lots of other features like new units, and i dont really want those.

That is the only mod that I can think of where the Terrorists are playable and the damage/HP formula isn’t modified, and new units aren’t introduced.

I could not find the mod you mentioned, though it does sound like the mod im looking for I know there are a couple mods where you can have terrorists as generals. I'm not sure about playing as terrorists in scenario/conquests. I usually search YouTube for wc4 mods. |

I think you have to reach Conquest 1980 by normal means. But that should be easy.

You are sure this adds the terrorist faction right? It doesn't seem to mention it in the mod showcase.
