I hope so I can ask a tech question here.
As I don't like the gxxgle style of 1984 I am searching for a replacement for the phone app for android 8.1
I want to decide who is calling me!
The latest - not installed - update will even ask google before I can receive a call! Not with me!
I'm searching an Open Source Telephone App with a complete history access, alta voce etc,
Emerald dialer is too small and missing essentials.
Bald phone does everything but comes with the launcher.
Any suggestions ?

Hold on, do Google won't let you answer calls or is Google tracking your calls?

The number you type is always immediately transfered to gg (even evry correction)
The update has the feature: 'to protect you from unwanted calls' - translation is yours...

Maybe it's the phone model, because you said after the system update Google started to track your calls. Maybe delete Google?

I probably have no problems to share my privacy with the local authorities...🤔
But to share all my activities with a profit orientated american company/state are for non US citizens unacceptable as all civil rights just belong to Americans

I know, and easytech is only doing this to make people not mod. Also I have been waiting for GCR all to be released since Christmas and still it hasn't been released. I guess it's just the way it is.
