I've just completed my first Cappadocia run in this era. I would like to share my strategy on how to win as this tiny frontline state. Anyone interested? Disclaimer: I started the conquest months ago so I can only give the most general comments which I can infer or recall.

Just do it. I am finding of a good strategy for the roman allies at rome vs han. For me, I don't have much exp with Conquests because I hardly play them, but I believe the key lies in ensuring (A) Rome's safety for a fast Conquest and (B) allied tactical superiority for a win. ___________________________________________________________ (A) Requires that Rome MUST resist the combined German, Celtic and Han invasions. Even if there is no territorial gain, there must be minimal territorial loss. When Rome's starting field armies are crushed by Turn 10-20+, the combined enemy assault will push back Rome. Sending large amounts of supplies to Rome MAY delay the enemy. However, based on my Cappadocia run, Rome instead focused on the east. Italy was barely defended and many cities were underdeveloped. If economic assistance is not very effective, what's next? Military assistance. Hit the enemy in their rear to cripple their economies and send troops to assist Rome in its defence. ___________________________________________________________ (B) Focuses on strategic diplomatic moves involving your allies and enemies that reaps tactical advantages. Try to let the Bosphorus join later by not giving the tiny state resources. This sacrifices Rome as the Han cav will sweep into Europe, but the Bosphorus Kingdom will be able to hit the Han's unguarded rear. Work with your allies to destroy the overstretched Parthian Empire ASAP. As for Albania, I cannot remember if I paid it to join early or let it attack an undefended Mtskheta, the nearest Han base. Induce the Cimbri to join when you can reinforce it. For example, give the tribe the final payment when you are entering Venedae and leaving Sarmatia.

There's a few more minor details which I left out, but I'll type them out on a thread in the Marching Legions board on another day.
They're not really that important though.
