  Alright, so essentially I just woke up and decided to open up WC4 (windows version) to do my daily invasions and what not then suddenly this message came up. I have never seen it before and have spent more than a year grinding this game so i really don't want to restart, it says file has been migrated, but i genuinely have no idea where, or what the hell im supposed to do. Any advice is appreciated, thanks! |

Admiral Raymond A. Spruance, wow you are as old of a forum member as me, even way older! Anyways, it seems to be a problem where you might have transferred progress from your PC to another device, for instance your phone or tablet. From what I see, clicking "use the file" would be the safest since its the old game file of your progress that you will be starting up. If pressing that leads you to the first picture, then you might have to do the traditional troubleshoots for faulty apps: clear cache/ram, software update, restart PC and so forth. Leave uninstalling and reinstalling for the last, where if all the previous options fail there's no other choice but to delete the file. Are you sure you don't recall using your PC to transfer something, download any mods, or something around those lines?

Thanks for replying, my pc is actually the only device i have the base game installed, the only other variation I have is the great patriotic war mod downloaded on my phone. I tried to install WC4 onn bluestacks to check there in case, but I genuinely don't know where the save file could have gone. I'll try different things to get it to work, but i fear this may be the end of that save.

Thanks for replying, my pc is actually the only device i have the base game installed, the only other variation I have is the great patriotic war mod downloaded on my phone. What PC are you using, and is the version up to date? |

I was pretty far into the game, had guderian, vatutin, messe, leeb, konev, nimitz, and was on the final nato and wto missions. I use just an acer laptop tbh, but the versions of window and the game is completely up to date as far as i know. Will check cloud saves, and all the files on computer if need be, because i'd rather not lose all that progress.

The cloud save function is your best bet for restoring your progress. When you reopen the game after the first time you saw the message, did anything change? It's odd because this message should not appear unless you consciously migrated your data to a new device.
By the way, us Mods, we are just your every day fans of ET and its games. Besides jamesyang, none of us are actually from ET, so we're not much different in what we know. |

Idk why this happened, but like 1 day after this happened, somehow the game opened again and is working just fine. Thanks for the help, but i guess it must be a glitch or something.
