I've been playing this game for a short time now and have just completed the HRE campaign. I already know that every campaign level gives a free shield when completed with a good average of stars. So I finished all the HRE levels with 4 or 5 stars expect Continental System, Balkan Wars, and didn't even do the extra missions. When I finished the last HRE level, I only got 50 medals.
Did I miss my free shield off HRE because I got 3 stars at Continental System and Balkan Wars?
Can I get my free shield at HRE if I finish those 2 levels and the Extra missions with 4 or 5 stars?
I really need my shields because I hate spending money on games and I really want Ney to be my cavalry general.

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows this struggle It's still open for debate whether or not every campaign gives an emblem. No you cannot do the missions again to get the emblem (this goes for all campaigns) |

Guess I'm not making the same mistake on Eastern Overlord.
Are you sure Ney doesn't cost only medals? Isn't he a tier 2 general so he costs 3 or 4 emblems?

Tier 1 general can be bought with medals. Tier 2 generals can be bought with EITHER medals or emblems, tier 3 is emblems only. |

All this time I thought tier 2 generals have to bought with medals and shields. You've blown my mind and made me realize I spend around 2000 medals for a whole bunch of useless tier 1 generals

I made the same mistake. Luckily I used to suck at EW4 and came to the forum pretty early in my playthrough, which saved me from many mistakes. |

Thank you so much for clearing that out. This blog really helps! I had always been thinking that tier 2 required both till someone enlightened me up. That's one of the greatest discovery in EW4! |
