I recently played three different conquests to test some theories. One is longer games along with taking as much territory as possible gains more medals. The first one is my favorite for obtaining medals,Prussia 1809. It took longer because once again I had to send troops to England and rout the French. It's the 5th or 6th time I've gotten 161 medals. This one is Prussia 1806 which I played because it's about the only 1806 that doesn't crash on me. The count is down a little because both Russia and Austria actually did more fighting than usual. Russia took most of the eastern Ottoman cities etc. and Austria didn't lose territory for a change (for me to take). The British also held their ground better than usual. So in all I didn't take as much as I have other times. This one is Russia 1775 and was a total surprise, I have never made more than 101 (once) medals in 1775. It's usually 80 something in as many rounds. I think the reason I got so many this time was because the British who had taken New England built a ton of forts and the Hessians had made it to below Baltimore and almost every grid was occupied with something. I also noticed the same thing I was watching for, using 2 double siege artys. on the small and medium forts is a good medal producer,3 of them on the large forts does pretty good too. So for me [anyway],a good conquest is the way to get medals,it's way more fun than grinding and not nearly as boriiing. It's also a good way to develop tactics that can be used for campaigns (which I find boring too).

I think the medal achieved from the victory window is the sum of what you get from fighting in the conquest. So it is not a pile of medals you get once after finishing a conquest but rather it shows the number of medals that you have accumulated during the fight (that ka-chiing after attacking). Therefore, the longer time you spend in a conquest usually means the more fighting and thus the more medals.

I think this is the biggest payout I've ever gotten. I played France 1798 for a change of pace. Plus as a little practice to try and get Isabella. If it was "red" I ended up conquering it,the guide I read recently helped, particularly the trick of stealing the city and stable from Spain. Thanks mortier for the guide,I give you 2 thumbs up!

Did Russia/1775 again, did a bit better too even though it was longer. Those forts the British build all over New England are real medal makers, used the seige arty. again en masse and kept hearing "ka Ching" alot. I had a really good game going after this,1775 France that was going to be even longer by all indications with hopefully a big payoff. The Hessians and British added the tavern generals and started counter attacking! Then the game started crashing. Tried 3 times reloading it but it kept crashing so I deleted it. Really frosted my buns,I'm 5 away from 3600 medals. Also sent my "buds" another e-mail...

You're welcome Scottso. Not sure about how it is for Practice since ultra-aggressive play is a completely different feel, but France 1798 is a fun year in general.

Well I tried the same 1775/France again and it crashes too. Must be that country? Never had any of the others do it. This one was playing out totally different than the other one,America didn't lose as much and after I killed Collingwood with Treville they went into offensive mode beating up on the Hessians. It would be nice to have no "problems" with the game,it's starting to get old. Mortier, it does help in "normal" play too, I wanted to "get the feel" of using France instead of the other I've used more like HRE which gets boring after so many times. I'll get more aggressive after I know more of the "do's & don'ts" so to speak. LG, believe it or not I got a reply to the e-mail.

Forget everything what was the reply?? This is what they sent me. VERSION NOTES 1. Added support for Universal Windows Platform by the invitation of Microsoft, including Windows 10 Desktop & Windows 10 Mobile. Version 1511 is recommended(OS version 10586). 2. Fixed typographical problems in several UI. We have released an update a few days ago. Best regards, Easytech mobile game development Inc. Easytechmail@gmail.com On another note,I tried playing France 1812,no crash but the payout wasn't worth the effort. 86 medals for 97 rounds. I also upped my goal and am now 70 some away from 4000.

Here's two good payouts... GB/1775 Pretty good for 1775. I tried Spain too, wasn't worth the effort...91 rounds,91 medals. 1798/France Best payout I've ever had! Too bad Russia didn't build a few more forts, might have made 200.

So does killing an enemy earn you medals? If so, has anyone discovered a kill/reward ratio?

I can somewhat agree to this title but it all depends on the terrain of the country you pick, for example if you pick Russia you will have alot of mountains which can be a good and bad thing, the good thing about mountains is that they are good for defence, bad thing is, you guessed it slow speed, so if your fighting in the open even the slowest generals could fight but if you're in Russia, speed can indeed be a good thing.
