i read guides saying this conquest is easy and i followed the instructions but it's still hard. i put beseler on the starting artillery and buy in england and france and germany out. when germany starts hitting me, england dont really help they just stay and watch and france's generals spread out and not all help me so i can only hold germany for 10 turns before i lose.
can anyone help?

Well after the update that gave us Challenge Conq, then Belgium is super hard. Enemy AI is much better and Germany is very strong. So wouldn't bother with this one until very late game. But the guides you've seen are still best strategy so far. If it's for a 1 star 1914 win I will say Greece - for me at least - was easier. |

I would say Montenegro since I beat that one on the first attempt while the others took me more than one attempt(other than Tribal Union). But, again, i finished all conquests that was available before the updates that introduced 1917 and Challenge Conquests way back in January. |

So if you are getting hard doing some conquests, do some easier ones then come back with that conquests. Btw, i highly recommend you doing greece, kill bulgaria and expel ottomans out of europe. |

greece was too hard for me so i did tribal union and finshed in like 60 turns

Probably should mostly max out some tech, it would make many conquests easier.

Wow the AI has changed so much. I was playing as France, and on turn 4, I was facing against the entire might of the German and Austrian army. They just left Russia with a pretty open front but it's like the AI Russia will exploit the advantage.

AI seem to prioritize player front-line cities, player generals before really beating up on your allies. That also means Mexico 1917 declaring on US turn 1 will mean US leaves entire east coast undefended for Canadians... So it can be exploited, but the Balkans 14/17 really is difficult imo. |
