I need help with something,i tried adding a general in wq4 but when i opeen hq it doesnt show all of the generals.help? I recommend you just replace a general instead by taking his image and changing it to the character you want him to look like. Go to General settings in json and only edit the skills which the maximum is six. Then go to string file and find the generals name and replace it.

Hello, as a beginner, I have a few questions, how to mod - Which Hex-Editor is your preferred tool?
- How do I modify PKM-files ?
- Can I add additional files in an Akp?
Any advices?

Any advices? Glad to see you deciding to mod! I use hex editor for changing alliances and nations. I haven't ran into pkm files yet but I believe there similar to lib. So files. Yes you can add additional files like another conquest but make sure you edit the string file and look at more guides before you try ππ³π°π΅π΄π¬πΊ.

Any advices? 1. Here's the hex editor that I use: hexed.it2. No idea lol, I can't seem to edit them directly on APK editors so try exporting them to your pc and find an app there 3. If you're using the Uptodown APK editor, go into full/complex edit and decode all files, then press "add" on the sidebar or the bottom bar or wherever the main toolbar is

I can't really see, you need apk Editor and MT Manger to mod.

I am glad to be back to game modfications, I am going to make my next mod soon and probably more of them. How has mod production been so far?

Slowly I'm learning... Hexed.it is a really nice solution! Luckylie my Editor (notepadmm) comes even with a usable Hex-Editor. In combimation with Hackers Keyboard, MT-manager and APK-Editor I will try to mod. As much as I know, pkm-Files are collections with compressed textures that are compressed with Ericsons etcPack tool -- I just want to access the general pictures. What I don't understand: the commanders.xml references still the commanders.pkm file although the unlocked EW4 APK comes only with a commanders.png, why? ONE more important question: After I made changes, I have to rebuild mymod.apk and install it again to test my changes - is this the correct way of modding?

I think .pkm files can be found in the assets file in general, or maybe the bin file. I'm not sure with EW4 modding tho so you may have to ask someone else. Once you've made changes and save, the APK editor will usually build the APK for you, then you can install it to test, yes. Here's a tip: Change the name of the APK so that it doesn't replace your "true" version of the game when installing. Also make sure you have the old version available somewhere, that way if the new APK doesn't work you can go back and reset your progress. Good luck!

I recommend the MT manger, it is much more effective and quicker then apk editor. I am probably just going to mod later for I made a huge amount already. I wonder if the Glory of Generals 3 will still have Encryption.

I wonder if the Glory of Generals 3 will still have Encryption. It will probably, but games in early access are usually quite unstable so there's probably a way to bypass it then. That means that your best bet to make an unlock APK is before the official release comes out.

When it is realased we will begin making plans to mod the game. If this is a success we could possibly make more mods!

I can edit and replace files in my mod - I also deleted the unnecessary files of the EW4unlock.apk. After I changed and signed the changes, I always have to open my new mod with the AKP-editor in common edit and I change the Version Code. And I build again. I also change the name, but this is only the displayed name, the package name I can't change (its grayed out). ---- Can I change the package name? --- ---- Is there an easier way than always to do two builds? ---- ---- Is there a guide for EW4 modding like the WC4 guides? ---- The pkm files are inside the assets - this is a image-format that I can't access. Has somebody an Idea how to edit these files?
