Oh,it means the general itself wouldn’t get the power rather the following units beside the general would get that power? It gives the damage boost to both the general and nearby allied cavalry units.

It gives the damage boost to both the general and nearby allied cavalry units. Is this the same in ew6:1914? Straussenberg with inf commander doesnt seem to have a damage boost tho 1914 Aura is WAY weaker than in 1804. First of all, it doesn't stack in 1914. Second, it adds a +20% attack boost instead of +20 base attack. The latter is significantly stronger since it can be affected by a generals damage multiplier while the former just adds to it. I'd say that the aura in 1804 is about twice as strong at the very least. It's also why doing 3 aura infantry generals is a viable strategy in 1804, even if it's not actually very good. I think what might be happening is that he doesn't get the bonus from others since he has it himself, or that the damage boost seems way lower than it is. Wouldn't surprise me since it doesn't actually give +20% attack. More like 17-19%.
