After a lot of conquests and going up to Eastern Overlord, I now saved up 1753 medals to buy myself some new tier 2 generals to beat Eastern Overlord.
My generals/ Princesses right now are
Sophia (5 stars in Artillery) Fatimah (No upgrades but mostly used for quick gold) Kate (4 stars in ships) Marmont (4 stars in artillery) Maria (No upgrades but used for infantry) Arnold (No upgrades but used for business for items and trade)
(I got 2 Potent powders on Sophia and Cannons on Kate)
I plan to regroup Maria into Kate and buy a new Tier 2 general. Then I plan to regroup Marmont into whoever the new general is to get a new slot for the next new general.
Judging from the blog's comments and reviews and analyses, I should regroup Fatimah, Marmont, Maria and Arnold because they are not the best guys.
But what Tier 2 generals should I buy? I'm thinking my set up should be 2 artillery generals (Sophia and some other artillery hero), 2 Calvary generals (Ney and Golitsyn?), one ship general (Kate to 5 stars) and one infantry general (Oudinot?)
Please give me your advice. I realize Ney, Golitsyn, and Oudinot are not equaled to 1753 medals but I can save some more. I don't like spending money so Tier 3 boys are out the window. If you advise different generals to buy, explain and offer a better general. Please don't bring up Victoria or Lan, I finish my conquests in 50-60 rounds and don't understand how to cut my time to half. If you think I should change my layout (2 artillery, 2 cavalry, one ship and one infantry generals), explain and give new general advise.
Thanks in advance

For your generals, I would keep the business general for now as you will need him. Ney and Golitsyn are great cavalry generals, Kate can easily fill the navy slot, and instead of Oudinot you should get Dobeln. About the items, Sophia needs horse artillery but that can come after you get at least Golitsyn or Ney. Dobeln is better than Oudinot because he has Mass fire.

I personally think that (aside from endgame, when you have 2 +6 attack items to rotate with 2 tents filling your item slots) Oudinot>Dobeln since you have to buy Snare Drum no matter what

To have your other generals running efficiently, you need a snare drum, so you'd buy it.

What do you mean you have to buy snare drum no matter what? To have your other generals running efficiently, you need a snare drum, so you'd buy it. Yes but it won't be wasted on an infantry general. You could use it on cavalry or even artillery rather than on Oudinot.

I think, Mortier means that you can use snare drum with several generals during the campaign. you can equip and unequip for all of the generals. Yet it is tiring to do that all the time.

That's basically what I meant, Althea Mountbatten has a point. I rotate all items between my generals as I find it more fun

Thanks for the advice. I regrouped Maria in Kate and bought Ney. Now I'm looking for Dobeln or Golyistyn

I like Golitsyn and Drummond, also Isabella on artillery is a monster.
